June - September we are proud to farm fresh tree-ripened peaches. It’s a Family Tradition to grow SWEET SOUTHERN PEACHES.

In the summer the sweet, syrupy smell of peaches fills Cooley´s peach shed and makes the taste of a South Carolina peach irresistible. Customers think they have found a little piece of "Heaven on Earth" when they bite into a juicy peach.

What´s the Difference between Clingstone & Freestone?

It’s certainly not "The Good Ole’ Southern Sweet Taste"!

A Clingstone peach is a fruit that "clings" to the stone. The peach is the first to harvest and usually produces for about 4 weeks. The Peach does not turn loose from the stone and is used in good ole eating and pickling.

The Freestone peach is a fruit that falls easily off the stone. The peaches begin harvest around the first of July. At Cooley´s we just grab a Freestone, lean over the trash can, and bite into the luscious fruit. The freestone varieties are much easier to work with in the kitchen and most popular for canning, freezing, drying, making pies, and "plain ole eating".
